Hello. I am SO sorry for your loss. That's truly one of the hardest things to go through and I hope you and your wife are able to soon have peace. Pregnancy is such that the statistic is 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage during the first trimester (up to 13 weeks). It's very common, unfortunately. And you can have everything be totally find and STILL miscarry in the later part of the first trimester without any warning. this is why many women elect not to tell anyone they are pregnant until after 13 weeks. I will just say that I do not think the morphine injection had anything to do with the miscarriage. She was having bad pain so they gave morphine. The bad pain could have and likely was the beginning of the miscarriage. Again, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Please know that the vast majority of women go on after miscarriage to have healthy pregnancies.
