Rabies Vaccine?

Hi everyone,
My friend recently rescued a stray dog he found on the interstate (husky), and while I was taking a walk with him the dog tripped on my ankle (was wearing light joggers) and made a small pinpoint scratch. I learned that the husky is not yet vaccinated for rabies and is around 5-7 months old. Should I get a rabies vaccine?

No, rabies is spread by saliva. Also, it's shed in the saliva only a few days before the animal dies of the disease, and if an animal has rabies, you would see it in how it acts. Confirm this with a doctor if you are worried but a light scratch is not going to do anything to you and it doesn't sound like this dog has rabies.

Thank you. I consulted my local care provider and I was told that this is a low-risk exposure, meaning that I should just wash it and keep an eye on the scratch
