I am so glad Dr. Hagan gave you such great direction. Get help right away. This reminds me of some of the situations I have been in.
Best,
Anna
Write directly to Dr. Hagan on the ask an expert eye care foru, if you need to..
If your surgery was done 4 weeks ago and your vision is blurry I would not have told you to come back in three months. I would have started an investigation about why you weren't seeing good.
I suggest you see another ophthalmologist Eye MD for a second opinion. Find one at www.aao.org In fact I think it a mistake to wait three months.

Thanks, Anna. I will of course discuss this with the surgeon but my appointment is for a 3 month post op exam in Aug. I do wonder how prevalent this situation is in the many cataract surgeries that are done. Is it common?
I am a community leader here. I am not a doctor. I have a lot of experience helping eye patients, including myself.
Dr. Hagan has suggested that you speak with your surgeon, and ask specific questions. This should lead to an understanding of your situation.
If it does not, i would recommend that you seek a second opinion. You can find another eye MD, an Ophthalmologist at www.aaa.org.
There are benefits to working this through with your present surgeon, so make a list of questions, and see him soon. You could feel reassured after you pose your question,s and he has given you clear answers.
