infecting others with clamydial conjunctivitis

if an adult female has chlamydial conjunctivitis, is it possible for her to infect her toddler?  The child shows no sign of infection, but could it potentially be infected with the bacteria before the mother realized she was infected?  Thank you.

It's bit unclear... You are referring to fetus or infant ? or is it about a child on breast feed?

Infants whose mothers have untreated chlamydial infection have a 30 to 40 percent chance of developing neonatal chlamydial conjunctivitis as such a doctor should have a thorough checkup... Treatments are simple and affective...
