strange sound in back of neck

I have a very similar symptoms to another person.  I too have strange sounds in the back of my neck where my neck meets my skull.  It usually happens when I am going to sleep or waking up or lying very still.  It's also happened when I am just reading in bed lying still.  It sounds like a quick rushing of water sound and it doesn't hurt, but it is disconcerting.  I have had it more than a month.  I hear it every day.  I had a CT scan that came out normal, but not the one with the dye.  My doctor told me she would refer me to a neurologist if it persisted so I think I will follow up next week.  I do hear a little neck creaking if I turn my neck.  I wish I knew what it was.

Wow, I have also had upper spinal crackeling into my brain sounds on a fairly regular basis, always brings my mood and energy down. The sounds started lower but have been moving closer to more dangerous locations in the higher areas of the brainstem over the past couple years. They are physically not painfull but mentally it just makes you cringe, intuitively there feels to be something sufficiently concerning, especially since it is regular. This is amazing, I was told I am just crazy but all these people now are saying the same thing from the other post and then you too. Something real is going on here. I don't believe this is normal appropriate functioning. I guess its up to me to figure this out then, good thing I feel exceptionally** fit do just that. But let me know if you know anybody that knows anything... And if you want I can do the same, this is really important to me, really. email me if anybody wants to share symptom promoting or demoting triggers or want to get in contact ***@****
