High blood pressure meds during IVF

Hi, We just got a negative after waiting for 2 weeks after transfering to healthy blasts (donor eggs). We are very sad right now. I have 5 children from my first marriage and never had problems getting pregnant. After I had twins in 1995 I decided to have my tubes tied. 4 years later I divorced and I just got re-married 2 years ago. My new husband and i are trying to have a baby via IVF now but couldn't use my egg cause my RE said I was too old ( I'm 44) we tried a donor egg cycle and we got a big fat negative last Monday (donor is 24 years old) anyway I don't know what went wrong but mid-cycle my blood pressure was high so my Dr. put me on High blood pressure medication.
Does anyone know if that could be the reason I didn't get pregnant?. Does anyone has been in this situation? Pleae help.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I think we'll try again. I'm nervous to try though. We have a follow up appointment next Saturday so we'll see what happens.

I'm so sorry about the negative test. I'm not really sure how blood pressure medication can affect the cycle, but I wouldn't think your doctor would prescribe it if it wasn't safe or could cause problems. It might be worth asking him/her about it on your follow-up appointment, though.

Will you be trying again?
