thyroid removal and edema

Can an imbalance in medication taken for the removal of your thyroid result in an edema problem?

I unfortunately don't know those number...but I will get and post.

Also, I'm almost a vegiterian -- I eat fish.  I just learned I have a protein deficiency, which can also lead to edema.

There was a Russian study that I ran across that claimed that 80% of the people in the study with primary lymphedema type problems had hypothyroidism.  So, please post the actual numbers from your thyroid tests and your meds info, and we'll go from there.
