Hi, I am new here and just wanted to say Hi. Im 36 year old woman having a problem with pain pills...

i'm also new. i first posted yesterday (3/31) in response to someone who is having a hard time quitting. isn't it wonderful the moment you realize you're no longer alone? and that maybe that there's help here, and perhaps you can help someone by posting your experiences. i think it's great that your family is also involved and finds the site helpful. they have a lot to learn; having a problem with pain pills is layers deep and hopefully they will get a new perspective on your issue by reading. good luck to you and your family. if you want, let us know more details about your problem. if you're worried about anonymity since they read the site, too, then create a different nickname, an alias of sorts. most of us have a few secrets and find great relief when we can be honest finally. perhaps (i don't know--it's just a guess) if they are reading the site on a regular basis, a time might come when you won't feel comfortable sharing openly here because of this. Just a thought.

Hi and welcome.. this is a place of great support and more like family.. I have been here for 2 months.. had some struggles.. I am tapering from vicodin/percaset any opiate really..
