i am just getting sick of feeling like **** every morning when i know a pill will help  please words of encouragement to me and all new comers.

I was a total wimp and had to do the Suboxone for 6 weeks starting at 4mgs 4 times a day... then weaning... you get sleep, energy, you can work, although I didn't work, I went into a detox then a program totaling 22 days.  Docs have to have special certification to prescribe these and you can look them up for your town on the internet..... it really amazed me how easy it was!  I did not know that vics and norcos were heroin in a pill~!  jeeze... so much harder than booze!

Take care and write a lot here and maybe find a NA meeting?  I really do think that the doc is the best step.

I agree w/fish,  you can also try a methadone clinic, and not that expensive.
 I just never have been able to do this ct, so this is just my own experiance.

Remember most of us would do anything to get our stuff.  You have to do the same to get off of them.  WHAT EVER IT TAKES!!

if that subonex is the same thing as burprenex, buprenorphin or whatever the name is, it might work for some. i found it was totally inadquate. but i guess a lot depends on what you've been using, and how long. in my case, methadone has been a lifesaver. in fact, it's been so good that i think i can gradually detox off of it, too. but even if i can't, it's clean, affordable, managable. and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone serious about getting off the streets.
