If you suffer from headaches, your favorite food may be partly to blame. Tyramine, an ingredient found in certain aged cheeses, smoked fish and Chianti wine is a known headache trigger, along with the flavor enhancer MSG (found in some Chinese food, as well as broths and seasonings) and the nitrates in certain lunch meats.
Skipping meals can also trigger headaches by sending your blood sugar levels plummeting, sparking your body to release hormones that raise your blood pressure and narrow your arteries.
