A few suggestions:
Learn to paint or draw.....many online free lessons and you can start by doing pictures of your kitties or your hubby.
Check out the newspaper for some activities going on in your community. Craft shows, fairs etc.
Have a camera? Go out and find some great things to take pictures of and post them on your photos here on MH.
Organize all your old pictures in an album or make a scrap book.
Try doing something you've never done before, but always wanted to try.
Grab a folding chair, blanket (if it's cold) and a good book, and go to the beach, lake or park and get some sun and air.
Do something nice for someone. Offer to babysit for a few hours for someone that could use a break. Have an elderly neighbor? Offer to help them with something....flip the mattress, take them shopping, do their dishes..whatever.

listen....life can get boring, but we are the rulers of our own destiny. I have some suggestions, i hope they will help you.
Since i am not sure what your interests are (besides kitty-cats)...these will be sot-of general.
One thing is to decide or discover what your interests are...if you dont even know...(it happens) and there are many books that will help you on this journey if you have no clue as to how to begin the process...if you have little money for books, check out the LIBRARY, i go there often for something to do. Ours has a really cheap library bookstore in it, with fifty cent books and such! I just bought a bunch of books for five dollars...magazines were a quarter!

Go THRIFT SHOPPING, or "Antiquing"....if you like collecting things, go looking for that one thing...if you live in a small place, go for something small or tiny. For instance...an animal you like~
Go to local Parks, get in tune with Nature....it' can be like being a kid again.
Play online games (free ones, like off of face-book) or join an art site like Blingee. com
Learn more about Cooking & get into that some, it is fun and never boring.
Join NA, AA, SA, or any Club or group of interest.
Join a Gym...Im addicted to exercising at 24 hr fitness...its soooo AWESOME. only 30.00 a month for hours & hours a week of healthy fun.
If you can, Volunteer somewhere...old folks are in dire need of friends too...and there are loads of animal places that accept & need volunteer help to ge by.
If you find things that bring you Contentment, you wont rely on anyone else to bring you happiness...and you will almost never be bored...you will find there is no time for all of your interests.
i hope you will enjoy these ideas, and no one who does things to improve the lives of others, goes very long being able to say i have no friends....though you may find yourself saying "My friends are a real Pain"!

I totally know what u r going thru. First of all congradulations on the clean time. Ever since i started the clinic two years ago I lost my freinds even when I did pills it was pike that. So I know exactly what u r going thru. What I find that is helpful is I've made a list of things to do when I get cravings. Like clean, watch a movie, take a walk do anything that keeps your mind occupied. That way u forget about the cravings. It works. And to let u know u have a freind here. ------Angie
