Hopsing/Everyone interested in meeting

I think that meeting is a great idea. However, so many of us have tried to do this so many times with no follow through. I can say that I am definitely in. But we have to do it right. Lets decide on a common meeting place, somewhere that is fair for all. Lets work on generating a lise of Yes/No/and maybe's. Lets work on pricing/group rates. And most importantly, a date. I think its a wonderful idea. I would not be where I am today without the help of so many here. I love you all and would love to meet. We would have a blast and if all goes well, make it a yearly thing. But so many on here come and go, so hopefully we can pull this together. I don't care if only 1 other person went, I am in.

Someone mentioned Vegas. I LOVE Vegsa, but Vegas + 30 Recovering addicts = trouble...lol...

Plus, the meeting place should be in the middle. I am in PA, so maybe anyone close to  me can meet up with me and we can travel together. I think this is great so lets get the ball rolling. Maybe putting a few in charge who want to put this together is a good starting point. So, Hop, ur idea..so take the lead. I would love to be apart of the planning. I will do whatever necessary to see that this happens. Ive been here for a while and know pretty much everyone. I don't want this to be another "dream". Lets make it a reality. Most of us got clean together, so lets meet and celebrate our sobriety together. Id love to meet you all. So many of you helped me and care about me...and I feel the same about all of you...

It's a great Idea, but it will never happen.  Some people might meet at some point, but realistically I can't see it working since we are all over the place......:-(

Sorry to disagree with ya"ll but we just had a na convention in vegas (as there is every year) and as usual it was awesome with over a thousand addicts from all over the world.

well i am ok with vegas except for many of us thats all the way on the other coast . I think you can get cheap airline tickets there however

I'm about 2 hours south of chicago located in the middle of a cornfield! Chicago is a really neat city. There is plenty to do there. Everything from Navy Pier to hanging out at the beach on Lake Michigan. Shed Aquarium is a pretty neat place. A lot of stuff is within walking distance if the hotel is around down town.

Ok, we need to first set a date which will accomodate everyone and also give enough time to save up the $. I LOVE the Vegas idea. But, I think some will be reluctant. But I would travel anywhere. I only think somewhere in the middle is more fair as those that are in the East Coast will spend more to fly to Vegas. It all depends. What we need to do is first pick a date. Then generate a list of who wants to go, maybe's and No's. If we have 10 people that all want to go and are all on the west coast then it would be pointless to travel to the middle, see what I mean. So lets pick a date then see who will really be in, then that will determine where. I really want to do this, so lets get it going. I will fully accept the planning responsibilities along with Hopsing and whomever else.

Bandmom...when we pick our date and get a headcount, could you help us with group rates for hotels/airfare? Let me know. You can email me, I will pm you my email..

as i said in the last post about this, I shall be flying in from the UK so I cant really give any ideas as to where to meet in the states.. sorry, but i am definately in and will go wherever.. as usual, if anyone wants anything from the UK, let me know!!!

Missouri and Kansas are in the middle of the country. Only thing I can think of in Kansas is Toto and Dorothy. Missouri has St Louis and Branson. Branson is actually pretty cool. If you want ck it out on the web. It's alot like Vegas but more family oriented.

Mags I would love Florida. I have friends in Jax,Ft Walton and Pensacola. If we did FL I want to go to the keys and go fishing. lol

I'm easy, Anywhere is good with me. Seattle is way on the west coast and North but is awesome. Had one of my best vacations there.
