What Was Your First Job Ever?

Do you remember your first job ever? How long did you last, lol. I think i would have been 11 or 12 when i got my first job. A couple of my friends got one pruning Christmas trees and when I heard $5 bucks an hour, I thought I could be rich, lol. Wow that was 20 years ago, I feel old now. Anyway how hard could it be right? Well i worked for about 2 months and finally quit after getting heat stroke, hitting a few bees nests and having every friend quit the first week sucked. I remember some people only lasted a day, lol. It was a horrible job and I was so happy when school started back up and decided I was not gonna do hard labour for a living. I started playing a lot of golf and went to college for it thinking this would be a great career, WRONG. Now we have a landscaping/lawn care business and I work my *** off just like I did with my first job, WTF. At least I make more than $5 bucks now, haha.

First job ever was good old McDonalds.  Lasted 5 days.  On my last day they told me I had to clean out the sunday machine.. I cannot even tell you how disgusting the caked on dried milk etc was.. So I refused and told them to take the job and shove it.  Been happily hating McDonalds ever since :)

I ran away from home with a friend when I was 16, hitchhiked across country, stayed in Arizona for a bit, and we got a job at a Carrot packing company, way out in the middle of no where.. Carrots of all different sizes would come down a conveyor belt and we'd have to sort them by size. They were frozen and we had no gloves. We lasted about 1 hour. Just left. We were so hungry and a donut truck drove by and boxes of donuts fell out the back of the truck. Yumm! Had to hitchhike back to town.
Hitchhiking across country was probably my greatest and most dangerous adventure. Boy, do I have stories about that.

Ahhh 50.00 cars.  I forgot about those!!!!  You could put 2.00 worth of gas in them and drive for days!!!!!!!

I got to meet Ronald McDonald in Fort Sill Okla. back in 1967.  They had just opened that one up and he was there handing out balloons.  I loved his shoes!!!!!!

My first job was babysitting too, but the first big job was at .........of course.....McDonalds.  I bought a 50 dollar car with my first few paychecks.  I can't believe I actually got a car for 50 bucks.  It was a Chevy Biscayne.

My frist job started at 11 or 12 wotking for a farmer, puting up hay, running cattle, feeding catle, cleaning barns, building fence, pouring concret, you name it if it got done on a farm I did it. Learned to drive in the hay field. I loved it!! Why I dont know but still fool around with farm animals. My kids made laods of money at the county fair, we,ve took hogs, catle, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, My oldest boy came away with almost $4000 one year His last year before collage. Now I have a sprawling 6ac ranch. I learned almost everything I needed for the real world from that farmer. Gizzy I used to have a landscape Co. Before I got hurt. Cant do it now.
