Just wanted to say hello....

I haven't been around for the last two months due to my work schedule so wanted to hi. What little spare time I did have was spent with my wife and kiddos.

I hope everyone enjoyed this extended weekend. Lets not forgot why we have Memorial Day off. I know many have cookouts with family and friends. Some party it up all weekend long. I ask that you take a moment and think about why we are able to do what we do. The Fallen are our True Heroes and their sacrifice should never be forgotten. If any of you knew any of those True Heroes, do their parents or wives, sisters or brothers a favor. Give them a call and let them know that you will always have a special place in your heart for them. When it comes down to it, today is not a day of celebration but a time to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedom and safety. Every Memorial Day I make a call to a widow of a fallen friend and parents of another and I can tell that it means so much to them as it does me. They were both great Marines and even better human beings and I thank God every day that we crossed paths. Heaven is an even safer place with those two guarding the gates.

So please just take a second to remember. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Brian--I'd be willing to help out with the pool since I know Big Blue (especially since Burress got out of jail yesterday) and Da Bears will probably be in the NFC championship game. Sorry IBK the cheeseheads might get a wildcard but that's a big maybe LOL.

Hey Ang...if I were you I wouldn't be using your terrible towel as a crying towel. I already used it for something else. I just figured that's all Steeler stuff is good for.

Since the NFL commissioner said that they won't be using replacement players there's a possibility that they will play an eight game season if they don't come to an agreement soon.That would really throw things off. Two losses would almost prevent a team from making the playoffs. I sure hope they come to an agreement soon! I couldn't imagine a winter without football. There wouldn't be anything to look forward to.

I'd love to help out with the pool again. Last fall work was very slow but normally around September it picks up for a few months. Not sure what the work outlook is yet. IBK was a lifesaver last year when I didn't have time. I may need some backup again this year. If anyone wants to volunteer just in case I need help I'd appreciate it!

Now if all those stats don't prove that most Packer fans just jumped on the bandwagon I don't know what does. Let's see here....a city of 100,000 yet they have millions of fans. You'd be surprised how many Bears fans actually grew up and live in GB. So, the ones that know the team and city best don't even root for their home team. What's that say about them?....................plenty!!!

Ahem...may I remind you "Big Blue" (new nick name) who won the first Super Bowl? Well, that would be Green Bay in 1967. And of yeah, they also won in 1968. Back-to-back.

Now we've got Miami winning back-to-back in 1973 & 1974. And Pittsburgh pulled it off in 1975 & 1976. We had San Francisco in 1989 and again in 1990. Let's not forget Dallas doing two in 1993 & 1994.

Oooppss..I almost forgot about GREEN BAY again in 1997.

Then we had Denver in 1998 and 1999.

Finally, we had New England in 2004 & 2005.

Big Blue did it 1987, 1991 and 2008, not back-to-back. Must have been the hangover.

And that takes us to 2011 and THE GREEN BAY PACKERS.

Well since you asked.....She is so SO much fun now.  She has a couple teeth, is doing the army crawl and trying to stand up on furniture.  My grandson has a "girlfriend" now.  His mother is wondering whatever happened to "cooties"!!  All this grandma can do is sit back and smile!!!
