RLS Remedy

There is a homeopathic remedy for RLS and it's sold OTC at most pharmacies.  It's called Restful Legs and it's made by Hyland.  I have used this stuff for years, and it has always helped.

I've never seen it mentioned here so I thought I'd throw it out there.  If you can find it, it's well worth the $5 to see if it works on you.  Good luck.

When I was going through the worst of the RLS part of my withdraw I worked out a nightly routine I would like to share.

First, I went to bed and tried to relax. The RLS would start about 30 minites after laying down. I would them get up and sit on the sofa with my legs slightly elevated for about 45 minites. This seemed to settle me down quite a lot.

This worked better than anything wlse I tried. Get yourself a good book, go to bed an hour earlied than you normally would (cause it's going to take a little longer to settle down) and see if you can't get yourself on a schedule.

If all else fails, Immodium will in fact bring some relief. My Doc said it works cause it has a minute amount of Opiate (Only he dodn't call it Opiate, he called it by another name...can't remember what). I used it a lot for about 10 days and it helped a lot.

Take care and be kind to yourself!

I have seen "Restful Legs" at WholeFoods, Inc. I was going to try it but didn't get around to it, but I know they have it.....Good luck!
