reading through the posts will comfort you,give you hope and encourage you.
make sure you have no pills around. delete all your contacts. it is important to change the people,places and things associated with your use.
keep your busy in mind and body will help with the anxiety.
for aches and pains take some hot showers or baths.
make sure you drink plenty of fluids, dehydration causes many of the symptoms.
your emotions are going to be all over the place,
keep the faith, there is hope. you are doing great. congrats on the 5 clean days.

thank you so much for answering..im sitting here clenching the mouse waiting for someone..you made me feel so much better already..your advice is so helpful..i actually went for a good walk today i really pushed myself..but i just keep crying..i feel so weak and achey and just helpless..but ill def keep walking and keep trying..i know if i go back to using my life will just end in misery and i dont want that..thank you very much and please everyone else tell me your story..either how you got through it or how youre dealing with it now and i will help you out too..thanks
Hi Jdk Welcome to the forum.. Yes it is Possible :) Congrats on day 5 ! you are just about over the worst of the physical the next stage is the anxiety and listlessness. this all can be combated with a lot of walking If you work that is good it helps to exercise, your brain needs to start producing its own feel good endorphins the roxi's have taken over this job. make sure you are eating healthy and drinking a lot of fluids.. you did not get to bottom over night so it may take a few to get to the top but your attitude will determine how rough of a journey it is going to be.. check out some meetings AA our NA it is important to get support. also for those left close to you. get honest with them tell of your addiction the more you tell on it the less power it has over you.. active addiction thrives in secrecy.. It is a life long disease but it is treatable as long as you stay vigilant get support and if need be seek professional help to get to the root cause of you using.. we escape reality for a reason.. make sure you get in hot showers ok and remember walk walk and walk some more.. take care. lesa
