120 days!

Today I am 120 days opiate free! Wasn't sure I'd get this far in the beginning, but with the help of this forum, my family, a few close friends, and the grace of god I have made it! I was reading some posts earlier of people who were just hours into their detox and I know how you feel. As long as you don't use, you will be fine. Trust me. Things are going really well for me; I've put on 15 pounds, which is good for me because I lost a lot of weight due to my addiction. I'm also in a much better place mentally and emotionally than I was just 4 months ago. Thanks for all the encouraging words and, as always, good luck and good health to all of you!

It's so nice to be on the other side isn't it? Good for you! Posting your message is very helpful & inspiring for the newer folks here, more than you might know. People early in detox need success stories like this as sort of a life preserver to cling to in the storm, that it will pass and a better life is just around the cormer for them...
