500 days clean, yesterday!!! Thank you, again,Domino and Jade, for pointing it out to me!!
I'm thinking that when you've lost track of your clean days it has to be a good thing!!! The one year mark was my dream come true...
Hosein2000: I know you know this but I'll remind you: Addiction is one ugly beast and it does not descriminate! It matters little what or who you are! And it's said that love is blind...Ha! Personally, when you speak of "normal", I had no idea what my normal was...but I was hoping I could live with her. I'm living well and I'm happy and busy and I'm gratful and humbled by this...I had a lot of recovery support and I had to fail in order to realize I needed it. I'm very strong but the addiction...much stronger. Get yourself some support of any kind: meetings, therapy, workshop.I don't advocate one over another, you just need to find your niche'. Proud of you!
Day 293 for me. Looking forward to hitting that 1 year mark.
Thank you so much. No I do not us the tracker. Is it in a site or is it a stand alone application? The first 2 weeks was a real hell, but now, even if I do not have severe leg/hand pain, most of the time I am restless, mu heart starts ponding in my chest, and I feel tired and no interest to even move. I have told myself that I am a man and have to beat this damn addiction (I am male, 52 years old, with a family of 5, and my little daughter is just 17 months). Your words really helped me right now. I do feel better when I hear from an experienced person that these will go away. You know, it is hard... I will do my best. Where is that tracker, by the way. Thanks a lot again... Hosein
P.S. I'm 284 days clean!!Whoot whoot!!! :):)
Hi there and congratulations on your success!! Yes, what you are experiencing is normal. The first 4-5 weeks are the toughest but you should be through the worst of it now. Hold your head high my friend!!Stay strong and keep going...pretty soon your 4 weeks will turn into 4 months! Do you use the tracker for addiction? It's a wonderful tool that helps you visually see how far you've come plus lets you add any symptoms you may be experiencing. Good luck to you!!Pm me anytime!!~A
Hi Tomskat, I have been clean for 22 days from 3 80mg Oxyx/Day, but still do not feel normal. Is it normal? I have read that week 4 is when we see turning the corner and by week 5, somehow normal. I hope this is the case. I am struggling to stay clean and be able to function. Any comments? Thanks, Hosein
