Did you tell your doctor that you want to quit? Because that will help you a lot. Talk to them and see what they tell you, and let us know how you are doing okay?!
Yeah I left out some pretty important info. I have been on 90 ml for the most part. I have came to the clinic before but it wasn't for the right reasons. Now I am here for the right ones . Its time now to try to put it behind me. Thank you for y'alls help really appreciated.
Gnarly is awesome. Listen to him. Especially on this. He's been there and knows how to help people with it. I wish you luck! You can do this!!!
HI ......you cant get off a narcotic with a narcotic your brain function will not heal ......you have to quit supplying the brain with artificial endorphins in order for things to regulate on there own .....tapering although slow brings you off methadone safely it will teach you pacents and perseverance in the process I was on 150mg and it took me 8 1/2 mo to get off ....I did it quick compared to most but suffered withdrawals along the way.....slow is good this is a race one by the tortus not the hare you just got to grind it out......what dose are you at now??
tapering can go ez oe hard its usually somewhere inbetween for most of us you just got to let your body make the final call when to reduce dose if your experiencing bad withdrawals wait a few days till it passes then go down again there will be doses that seam like a breese with little or no withdrawals and others where your pulling teeth to just drop a few mgs stick with us here ....I have helped many others get free from this stuff and will help you if you like just message me....just know in the end it is so so worth it good luck and God bless......Gnarly
I dont know your dose or any other info about you that might be pertinent......but NO on the roxy's - - it doesnt work like that.............tapering off the methadone is long and slow - but its frequently unsuccessful if you dont do it that way. I CT'd a large dose after years of abuse and it turned out to be 6 months of horror! Go with the program for right now - hopefully the only thing that will change is the methadone dose will get lower.
