3 weeks complete

I have been lurking for over a week without much input. Reading the post seems to help me relax and understand whats going on. It has been 21 days since my last intake of opiates and I am having some serious energy issues. I have been taking many vitamins and exercising but the energy is just not close to par yet. I hope everyone is doing fine and I wish you the very best.

Hey my friend... 21 days is awesome... right behind me.. Have no fear I will clear the road for you..
Energy seems to be the complaint that lingers the longest.. I think we were so used to the energy our DOC"s gave us that we don't know what normal feels like.. "normies" get tired and run down too... heck my husband falls asleep on the couch at 830pm many nights..and he is a "normie"

Keep on keeping on my brother...

XOXO

I still have energy issues on day 20, also. I just look at how long I took these things (3.5 years in my case) and realize that I can't undo everything I've done in a month. Kinda like loosing weight. I've put on weight over the last 4 years, I can't expect to loose it all in a month. Just the reasoning that I use to keep my sanity.

Hi Jeff,

The problem is that you have changed the physiology of your brain.  You are detox, (no drugs left), but you will have to grow back the receptors in your brain to allow the normal feeling.  I had to use suboxone which I feel much better but am still taking opiates.  If you do make it out of this... fantastic!  If you do relapse, you should think about suboxone.com

that part of the w/d's really sucks.  But from what I've heard the energy and motivation starts to come back at about 1 month so you shouldn't have too much longer.  That I think is the hardest part.  It's somewhat easy to explain to everyone that you have the flu for a couple days but when you're just sitting around not wanting to do anything, that is hard to explain to the kids and employer.  I think it's awesome you have 3 weeks!  I can't wait till I can say the same.
