34 days off Suboxone

34 days off Suboxone and 9 months of my DOC! This is the longest I have ever been clean. This is only the 2nd time I have been clean in 13 years.  I was clean 9 months 3 years ago when I found out I was pregnant with my son. The first thing I asked my Dr when I was getting discharged was "Could you give me a script for pain meds cause I am hurting really bad". I wasn't in much pain at all but I wanted them pills so bad I couldn't stand it. I started off just taking a few here and there but it wasn't no time and I was worse than I had ever been.  I think if I had counseling during my pregnancy I might not have started again. I remind myself daily how bad I was on them, the type of person they made me, how much of my son's life I missed out on, and all the things I lost because of a lil pill. I think knowing what would happen if I did decide to take just 1 pill is what helps to keep me clean. It would be no time and I would end up right where I was 9 months ago and that is NOT a place I ever want to be again! I have my life back and there is nothing more exciting than being in control of your own life!!!
Best Wishes to everybody!
Krissy

Thanks everybody!!
Dscom I really can't say that I am having any side effects! I have been sweating a lot but I think that is due to the Vivitrol shot. Have some trouble sleeping but I am under a lot of stress due to things going on in my life. So really the Suboxone is not causing any problems for me.

Brian, Thanks so much!!! I can't wait to say I have been off Sub's for a year! What a great day that will be!!!

Gnarly, Thanks so much! I am doing ok with the needle problem. I did slip up last week due to getting my Adderall. Back on the straight and narrow and have decided the needle is not for me anymore. It used to bring a sense of comfort or something along the lines of comfort, but this last time it caused me to stress out knowing I was better than that!

Laurel, Thank you very much! I have come a long ways and worked my butt off to get where I am today!!

Brent, Thanks a lot! Sounds like you need a congratulations! So CONGRATS!!! I know it is not easy to have them around even if they are not in your face. It's the fact of knowing they are there. I am glad my posts helped you when you needed it!! I hope that my success can help many others! Keep up the good work!

Tiredofbeigsicktired, Thanks a lot! It is amazing at how much we miss when we are clouded by drugs. I am noticing things that I haven't paid attention to in a long long time! I still have a ways to go to getting back to the person I used to be but in the end it will be so worth it!!!

MzHolly, Thanks! I am glad that my story could be of some help to you! Best wishes

The vivitrol shot that I got 3 weeks ago is due again on the 16th and I am NOT getting it again! They shoot you in the butt and I don't know if I had some sort of reaction to it or if the nurse did something. As the days go by the worse my butt hurts. I have a knot the size of a softball! My legs are starting to go numb! The other day I could barley walk it was hurting so bad. It does say it can cause a lot of pain but I would have thought it would have went away in a few days and no longer than a week. What I am feeling now is not worth getting that damn thing again.

Hooorah! Congrats! Very happy for you, you sound so positive and happy. It helps me stay positive and happy reading your success. I just broke the 30 day barrier myself and I remember reading all your posts when I was only 5 days into this and they really helped me out a lot, so thank you for that. I was taunted today by a uhh "friend?" that just stopped by out of nowhere today and I knew he was high. I think he even used my bathroom to shoot up but I have no real evidence of that just assumption from knowing him and how he went out to his car before doing so. Would have been as easy as bringing up getting high to him to relapse but I held my ground. Felt good. Thanks again!
