30 Days clean...Happy Birthday to me!
Today, I am 30 days clean, and it Is my 28th birthday. Overall, I am wonderful. I cant believe I have made it this far. I dont post mich, but reading everyones stories and comments have helped me and given me strength. Thank you! My dad, who is addicted to multiple substances (vicodin 10/325, soma 350, valium 10) is being told to taper off of valium by his dr in one month. Do you guys think this is too quick? He has been taking it since the 70,s for PTSD.

Happy Birthday and a very happy birthday for your clean time Blackwolfgirl. Be proud for what you have accomplished. I am just over a month from having some really good clean time and slipping up, but it is all worth it. Be proud!!!!! Congrats!

with your dad's situation, i don't think that is too quick, but everyone is different. Its hard to tell until you actually start the tapering/quit to tell how you are going to react. I tried to taper off xanax for a couple of months on my own & didn't tell my doctor about it until a day after I didn't take any. At that point she wanted me to just keep going without it. I am fine, and it has only been 10 or 11 days. Good luck!!
A true reason for a kick butt celebration today. Happy Birthday Black!!! And congrats on the best b'day gift of all time - 30 days sober. You rocked this last month and have every reason to celebrate this day. Sober! How awesome is that???
