Starting Day 5 - Ugh

This morning I woke up to the worst stomach pains, and had to take the Imodium for the first time. I shouldn't complain though, I've so far been very lucky and have slept over 8 hours every night!  I probably don't have it as bad as other from what I've read, but to me this is the worst thing possible! I keep telling myself "It will get better!".  I'm so glad I made the decision to get off the pills. I want to know what my life is like without them. I work from home, so I'm going to try and get some work done today, but  knowing I'll rest if I need to. And and a totally random side note - my Chocolatr Lab puppy turns 6 months today. I have to take her to the vet in a little bit to get spayed. I looked at her this morning and thought "I think you're gonna have it worse than me today!"

Day 6 - Woohoo! I've been so busy trying to keep my 6 mo old puppy "still" that I haven't had time to post. Feeling great today! A little anxiety earlier, but nothing I can't manage!

You are doing great, Nellie.   I didn't get stomach cramps until about days 4 or 5, and the went away around day 9 or 10.   You are very lucky to be able to sleep; I still can't get more than a couple of hours at a time, but then again, I always had insomnia issues.

I too, have a puppy that keeps me going; she is a Chiweenie (half dachsund/half chihuhua)  she would stay in bed with me all day sometimes...I LOVE dogs!

Hugs,
-Robin

I ended up getting a nice burst of energy and was able to get more done today than expected. Puppy is doing good too - but she's so out of it I'm not sure if she knows who I am right now! Hubby is taking care of her tonight so I can try and get some rest. And did I mention he shoveled the snow in our drive last night so I wouldn't worry about it this morning! His support has been tremendous! We've looked into some groups at our church for my aftercare to go along with a pain psychologist. I don't want to live in debilitating pain, but I know in my heart these pills are not the answer!

That is funny what you said about your puppy.  Hope she does well today!  Congrats on day 5.  You don't seem to have it as bad as others like you said so that is good but I know it still feels crappy.  I am anxious to see how I feel when I am done taking these pills.  Hopefully I'll be as good as you are.
Have a great day!
