And To Connie (clean In ks)    I looked at the pics and I couldnt believe how my eyes looked a year ago I had dark circles under my eyes and I was so withdrawn looking , I could see the pain in my eyes. I looked ten years older than the recent pics that were taken it was like I turned back time and got younger looking this past year! I has plastic surgery and a lift without actually having surgery! whewt!   Its remarkable!! Truly it is how not just mentally but physically what the pills do to our bodies.
I also just wanted to add to you Ms Connie clean in KS that its great how we not only share clean time with you being a day ahead of me but also the same name Connie :))   :))
Stay being your awesome positive self! You have always been very inspiring to me and to so many others and so supportive. I know God will continue to bless you !

I just got home from my group celebration we had our regular meeting then a little ceremony and I was given my ONE YEAR key-chain and my husband and my kids and my parents were there at celebration and my kids and hubby gave me dozen roses and each gave me a letter. It was so emotional, we had a little slide show and pictures and looking back at me a year ago not just mentally but physically I have changed. Today was a great day! I didnt think I would be so emotional but I couldn't stop crying they were tears of happiness and just looking at my kids proud faces made my heart swell! My Cup runnith over,  Thank you thank you everyone for the lovely notes and post! My mouth hurts from smiling so big today! :))))))))))))))))

I have made alot of friends on here and each person that has taken the time to push me or give me encouragement when I was hurting struggling or having a bad day I Thank you with all my heart!
and please if you are starting out and are reading this just know this can be done it takes work and a plan! I stand by the 3 S's  SOURCE SECRET SUPPORT! for me they were KEY!

I remember when I first joined I would see this pic that I "Thought" was a flower for so long. I would follow this flower and go in to the post. Hey birthday girl....!!!  It finally arrived....365 HARD WON DAYS!!!!!

Besides the obvious kinship I feel to you for having the same name and being one day apart in our journeys.....you value so many of the same tools in recovery that I do.  You have such integrity.....and perseverance....and you know how critical the 3 "S"'s are we learned from Kyle.  And you followed thru.....even with a dang broken arm at 20 days clean!!!  You just rock the town, Connie!!

You have conquered MAJOR stress triggers and attritube your success to actively participating in aftercare.  I'm a tad bit envious of your small group.. lol..and know losing one of your clean buddies had a horrendous impact on you.  But you pushed on thru. One of the pics you have posted says, "You don't have to see the whole staircase; just take the first step.
