4 WEEKS!

Well, I am sitting here on the eve of 4 weeks since I quit taking loperamide, 20 or more a day for over a year. Most of my symptoms are gone, except for a pain in between my shoulder blades. I also feel heart palpitations thumping in my chest after a big meal. I never had these pains before, so I don't know if there part of withdrawal, or if I messed something up. I wonder if its still my gulbladder, liver, or whatever. Of course I still think the worse every time. I am working on that. I have never had these symptoms, nor have I ever had such a long drawn out withdrawal. From what all the docs said, I went through a sort of methadone withdrawal, because of the similarity of the chemical structure. Granted, I know methadone is much worse, but doing something this long and that much does do your body bad. Anyway, thanks to all my friends for helping me.

Congrats to YOU!!
Well???? I do not want to scare you, but these pills hide many symptoms that we might have gotten during are using.
I had a couple of yrs in when I felt this type of pain. I thought it was just Heart Aches from just loosing both my Parents and Dog and so forth, all around the same time. Then I thought it was just Heartburn or the Esophagus. It wasn't...

Please go and get this checked out. It will not hurt to get a EKG. I would highly recommend it to anybody who has used for a very long time.

It might NOT be anything but a period of detoxing toxins out still. This does take awhile and as the brain heals it could send false singles to the body. BUT now days I am on high alert with pains in the chest or middle area. I am sure you will be fine. Just go get that Physical so you can have some Peace. I know I had all my blood work done when I first came clean.
Wishing you the best!
Bless

Congratulations on 4 weeks, I to made it to 4 weeks yesterday.  I notice small things happening with my body that has never happened before,  I do believe it has to do with the pills (mine was Tramadol 8+ 50mg per day), to me each day don't seem to be as bad as the day before. We can win this fight, we have proven that. ((John))

Congratulations my friend.   If I were you, I'd get a complete physical, just to be on the safe side.   If big meals are giving you palpitations, I'd cut down on the big meals!!  (wink)

You've done great!
