Reading your post confirms to me that we are all a bit different when it comes to witdrawal.
I was on 80 mgs of methadone for a few years. Tapered down to 10 mg over 3 weeks, then went to suboxone for 4 days, then jumped off. it was very rough going for 10 to 12 days, but my energy started returning after about 2 weeks. By the end of a month my energy level was pretty normal. I did drink protein shakes twice a day that were packed full of amino acids (Walmart has 2 brands for less than $20). This gave my body some brain building stuff it badly needed. I also took a B Complex twice a day. After the 10 day mark I began to push myself to exercise ( treadmill/stationary bike for 20 mins). It all helps but I can see from reading the different post there seems to be no set answer for everyone. Let me say this in closing. Everyday, most days many times, I would chant to myself "every minute I'm off the crap is one less minute of hell and one minute closer to being well."  It just takes time. I also came to accept that it was suppose to hard for me, otherwise I would just go right back to it if I felt fine in a few days. Hang it there. You'll be glad you did. You never have to go this again!

Mommyoff---I know exactly how you feel right now, but believe me it does get better. I also said to myself at times "If I take this little pill I will feel normal again" That couldn't be more wrong as before I took oxys I WAS normal and the pills just gave me a false sense well being.

Have you tried Coconut water it has many nutrients and vitamins in it and it will also increase your metabolism and hydrate you. In fact during WWII the Marines fighting in the pacific ere given Coconut water in place of plasma because it has the same biochemical properties of plasma.

Are you doing any aftercare? Aftercare and a support system makes all the difference in the world. So hang in there you will make it through I am praying for you and God will guide you through this journey.God Bless---Rick

I hear 3 months before it gets better. So you are half way there. Oh and you really do not want to go back. Because every time it gets worse. I can testify to that. And you know what will happen with the pills. For about a week or two they will work and then even those will stop working well and you will feel worse than you do now. Just hang on in you have come to far now.

30 years on methadone ... clean 9 months ... so take it from an old fart ... you either want to be clean ... or ya' don't ... calling yourself "mommy" denotes offspring ... if that does not motivate you ... nothing will ... I thought I'd never get right ... and you know what ... I was right ... I screwed up my body and my mind ... but it does get better ... so stop focusing on the bad sh*t ... it's all about perspective ... ya' wanna' be a victim ... or ... do you want to be a mommy ...?

Hey Mommy......this can be a ruff road as you are finding out. Have you tried the protein shakes yet....I detoxed off methadone and had a terable energy crash that dident seam to go away....once I started on the shakes slowly but surly I started to gain my strength back
there not expensive only 15 bucks at walmart there loaded with vitamins essential amino acids as well as the protein all of witch the brain needs to heal....the chocolate flavor is good you just mix it with milk....they also make a super version for 20 bucks but you need a blender for that one...keep up with the exercise it dosent need to be any more then a good walk I started out with around the block and worked my way up from there...hang in there you will come around it just takes longer for some then others....coming off methadone I had to endure it for 90 days ...pills wont be nearly as bad ...dont give up 5 minutes b/4 the miracle good luck and God bless......Gnarly

Keep on fighting. That's what you do.  You quit giving yourself the option of "just take a damn pill and go back". Just look at the last two word of your quote, go back. That is exactly what you would be doing, going back.  I know that after fighting this for five weeks surely you don't want to Go Back. Just keep fighting,  time will reveal your rewards.  Good luck, guv
