Roxicet

I've been on doctor prescribed Roxicet (5/325) for the last 4 years due to neck and shoulder pain.  I had gotten to the point where I was taking 2 pills every 4-6 hours.  Due to some long hard work with physical therapy I was beginning to feel like I could start going off the Rox.  Then on Monday I got a "bug".  I threw up for 2 days.  Since I wasn't able to hold anything down I didn't take my meds.  I started having withdraws from the Rox but thought the symptoms were from the bug.  Once I was able to hold down water I started taking the meds again only this time I've cut it down more than half.  Now I'm on day 5 and the withdraw symptoms are pretty bad.  I started out this morning at 6:00am with 1 pill, just to relieve my sore muscles.  Then, by 10:00am the withdraw was so bad I needed to take another.  Can anyone help me with a timeline on how often I should take and how many?  Remember, I've been on these bad boys for 4 years.

Thanks for all your help.

I WENT COMPLETE COLD TURKEY WHEN I WAS DOWN TO HALF A DAY I DECIDED NOT TO TAKE ONE AT NIGHT, And now its almost over
I quit three days ago and started attending N.A.
If u make ur way down to half a day and the nstop the next day u will feel like **** for about three days and i feel almost sober after all the constipation has left me, enemas help as kreep as it sounds, pepto bismal, and tylonel extra strengths, marijuana, and opiates but not too much of either, laxatives will also leave the constipation early as i feel good about 80% it should reach 90 by tomorrow hope this helps.. i feel for u all the governmnt is ****** up on situations like this, thousands of dollars to get clean or suffer??

Well to officially get over the withdraw, you need to be free of the oxycodone in your system at some point. As soon as you take another pill.. even if only one.. you are re-introducing it to your system again.

I personally, and let me say I am no doctor... I would get a written plan done. You were taking 2 pills 4 times a day. thats 8 pills. Go to taking 2 pills... say three times a day. Morning, midday and night.

Then in a week go to taking 1.5 pills 4 times a day.. little less per dose but the extra dose and still a daily limit of 6 pills.

Then week three... take 1 pill 4 times a day... keep on schedule and keep on the right amount.

Week four... go to 1 pill three times a day... keep on schedule.

Week 5 (if you can) Score the pills and move to half a pill.. 4 times a day.

Week 6 half a pill three times a day.

Week 7 take a half in the early day... half at night. DOWN TO ONE PILL A DAY.

Week 8... take a half pill a day...

Week 9.... do not take pills at all... all week. You may have the withdraw but it will be way less and easier to manage being that you took 2 months to slowly ween your system off the high level dependence.

You will have neausa and feel like **** prolly. I can't condone illegal drugs.. but marijuana does amazing things to assist in withdraw from most things... especially opiates.

So if you live in the Netherlands or dont mind a law breaking. By week 8 get a little pot and it will not only help with the physical withdraw symptoms but ease your mind.

TWO MONTH PLAN AND YOUR OFF THE ROXICETS.

Takes time and dedication to do it this way but works. I've seen it in practice.

Cheers and Good Luck.
