Please pray for all addicted to drugs

I haven't been on here for quite awhile, but I am glad to say that I am over a year clean from hydrocodone. Many of you may remember me,and it's good to see some familar names still on here. I hope all of you are doing well in your recovery. I am just asking for prayer for a childhood friend that lost his life to a heroin OD 2 days ago at the age of 24. Our little small town has seen at least 3 people lose their lives to addiction over the last 2 months and it is so sad. Although herion was never my DOC and I have never tried it,it seems to be what people around here are getting into now after moving on from pain pills. Please keep the families of my friend who lost his life to his addiction and to all of those fighting addiction in your prayers. To all of you struggling to fight your addiction it can be done. Stay strong and be true to yourselves and your families. You all have people that love you and support you! It is very sad to see a life lost to addiction,so please stay strong enough to fight this battle!

Thanks gnarly. I did hit the roll call, but said I don't know exactly how many days clean I am. I quit counting after about 6 months because I felt so frustrated with myself that I was still feeling crappy at times when I had been clean for so long. I know my quit date and count it up every now and then.I am feeling better now. Still having some anxiety that I am working through without pills, but I'm glad to still be clean. It's also good to still see you around. So how are you doing with your recovery?

It is so sad to see people get caught up in addiction, especially when it takes young lives.I'm just glad that myself and so many others got out before we got that far. Our recovery truly is amazing and often life saving to many people. I just wish we didn't have to endure the pain of watching it take our friends and family members lives. I am so sorry about your sister in law,but be proud of yourself for getting clean! My guard is up at all times because I don't want to go down that road again. Good hearing from you!
