day 7 no vics

the last six days have been hell.... today is day seven and i feel a lil better but i started my period ive been taking vitamins and trying to stay hydrated just wanted all of u to no i go on this site every like 20 min to see what is new u guys r my strength and i love u for it.... my wds arent as bad but ive been on painkillers so long i forget what sober even feels like sometimes i think that everyday life is pain but ur just constantly in it so u dont notice...lol.. im sure things will get better

Hi hun

I had my period when I withdrew. I am three weeks and one day clean from codeine. We have no pain tolerance cos before ever time we were or had a slight pain it gave us an excuse to pop a pill. My period was heavier and longer I noticed and some withdrawel symtoms were hightened restlessness etc. Also there is a hormonal change as this time natural any way as well as withdrawel chemical changes in your body. I know I keep posting it but I found the withdrawals were not as bad as I thought. But the mental withdrawal was very difficult.One thing I have noticed since being a member withdrawals length severity depend on the person. I feel amazing, every day I get better and better I  have only just started to feel normal the last few days. It was worth it. So hang on for dear life and never let go. Cos freedom is worth the roller-coaster ride. Never forget it will get better. Keep posting were all on the same ride.   x x x x x x x

Things will get better :) Congratulations on day 7 !! Freedom from drugs is awesome. no more being dope sick mo more counting pills no more runny nose no more making excuses and no more lying to others or ourselves Whoo Hooo So freaking Happy for you !! emotionally it gets better it takes a lil time but when you notice the birds singing and you have your first belly laugh it makes it all worth it..
