PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone.  I have been on 6 10mg of Lortab for the past 4 years.  I am done with them.  I never want to touch them again.  I started weaning on monday.  But was a very fast wean.  Monday i took 4, Tues, 3, wed 2, Thurs 2 and today have taken none.  I am off and on with my withdrawls.  I started the Thomas recipe and have been feeling ok in the morning, but as the day goes on start feeling worse and worse.  I was wondering how weening will affect my detox?  Ive been feeling pretty bad since monday.  Do i still have 3-4 days to go since i took 1/2 yesterday?  Today is the first day i have had a fever.  I felt great this morning, now all the sudden feel horrible.

Can someone please help on what to expect?  I thought i was doing right by being strong enough to wean like i have, but am now thinking i have just made the detox last longer?

We are pretty much in the same boat. I took last 1 at 4a this morning, already starting to feel bad too. This is not going to be easy for us, but so many have great stories and are now clean - stuck around for people like us who need help. I personally will be listening to there info. Keeping my fingers crossed not only for me, but you too.

I agree with both of the above post...Although 6 a day is not to high compared to some, it has been 4 yrs...So you will probably get a bit worst before better...I agree with Nick, it takes a very slow taper to really work.., but like he said the important things is you are off of it now...I beleive that our minds play a very important part in this...Keep telling yourself you will get through this...make sure you drink alot of fluids, this will help more than you can imagine...Get the liquid immodium, and eat as much as you can...I will keep you in my prayers, oh and also try to keep busy...
We are all here to help you...

Honestly I don't think that such a quick wean is actually helpful to you. If you do it slowly you can get yourself down to a low dose and still feel comfortable. then jump off from there. but weaning quickly just prolongs your suffering a little i think, not hugely so, just by a few extra days.
I'm sure other people will say different things but the most important thing is that your off it now and you're just going to have to try and be strong for the next week or so.
good luck to you.

You may want to keep a check on the fever and make sure that it comes and goes, could be something else.  I took clonidine, a bp med and it really helped keep me stable(in my skin).  The w/d can be pretty rough and times but I think after this weekend you may start to feel some better with the detox.  Please take otc pain meds and don't forget the liquids as they are very important too.  If your stomach will allow take an immodium, they say it contains something that helps with the receptors in the stomach.
