As viki said seeing a doctor is the best thing to do exspecialy if you are on a large amout . Have the doctor help you taper off at a speed that will work for u .

Hi- How much is "huge?"
Are there any clinics or AA meetings? Do you have a doctor? Stopping abruptly can be done but the symptoms will be unpleasant. You could cut back a little bit over a period of time; slowly tapering the dose until you're at a small amount. Then you could stop.
It's always better to have a doctor help you,though.
