Should I go to see a ....

Doctor today? I told my mom the reason I have been in bed for the past five days or more was I thought due to not taking lortabs. She immediately suggested that I go to the doctor b/c "that should not have you feeling the way you are", "you were not taking that much" (keep in mind this is her talking).

Now, mother thinks it is something nerve related, due to my severe pain, RLS, depression, fatigue, crying over the past few days. Please keep in mind I have NEVER missed a day at work until now, and me not going to the office for several days is unusual.

Should I go and be honest with my doctor today? I just feel like it is never going to be okay.......

Please advise...

many here have used anti-depressants to help with the depression of detox.  talk with your dr about that.  the depression and lck of energy has caused many to relapse...so i say do what ever you have to, to get through it.  i promise it does get better with time.  i am here if you need to vent or chat or whatever.  you are not alone.

Thank you for responding. I have been using the Thomas recipe, also I have been trying to exercise some. I have dogs so I have to walk them outside a few times a day, but it seems to make things worse.

I am having severe lower and upper back pains, and the IBP 800 mg is not really helping. Thank you everyone who responded. I just cannot take feeling like this for months. It is unbearable, the depression and sadness.

i tagree it is w/ds.  in a few days you will feel somewhat better.  it does take time to get past this.  if you could force yourself to take a walk it would help speed up the process.  are you using the thomas recipe...it helps too.  this will pass...see the dr if it will make you feel better, buti think its w/ds.

"I just feel like it is never going to be okay......."

I felt the very same. When I signed up on this forum, I was so scared! I thought I had forever screwed my life. But trust me, its been 4 months since I am clean and I feel great! It is going to be ok. You might feel depressed and you might experience anxiety but as far as I am told, all that is part of recovery. It will eventually disappear.

Although, it never hurts to talk to a doctor. You might actually feel good afterwards. It always great to talk to a professional.

Everything you described is withdrawal related.

I'll let everyone else speak now.  They know more than I.
