OMG the ear ringing, I felt comfort reading you post thank you.  Coming off slow detox after years of use for chronic pain.  I am day two of actually not taking  hydrocodone/soma after slow taper and I feel awful.  Two nights of no sleep with ringing ears.  This is hell and I will never ever take pain medication again - I never want to feel this bad again.  For those of you going through this I have also taken ambien for life long sleep issues, have taken 1 pill each night for probably 12 years along with Xanax - is it too much to just stop everything (which is what I did) but several posts say the xanax help during withdrawal and I MUST sleep tonight.  Thinking after I get the hydro out of my body, then I can taper as I only take 2 (.5 mg xanax) at night - thoughts???

Hi, and welcome! Lots of nice people are here to help--just post and see!
As a person who takes exactly what you do, I think it's unproductive to put yourself through that kind of hell quitting two drugs at once, unless you're in a Turkish prison or something. Because the Ultram has an antidepressant effect, quit the Lortab first, then the Ultram. And it'd be best to taper the tramadol if you can. Stopping Ultram cold isn't a good idea unless you literally don't have any more and no way to get more. Write back and tell us your thoughts!

You are Welcome!  Its okay most of us started with some kind of injury, headaches or female issues... I call them demon pills.. They help with the pain but eventually the will start making you feel bad.

Once I am completly off I will never take them again.  I am in a slow detox now and I feel like crap.. My ears ring ALL the time. I have no energy. and I feel like im in a fog at all times.. I cant concentrate.  Look this is crazy... I will never put my body thru this E V E R again.

My best advise id get some good supplements and keep posting.  Medhelp has a lot of GREAT members that have help me ALOT... If all goes well I plan to hop off Friday..Just call me the Hopper... lol
