I honestly feel that you have reached out to the right place---- the people on this forum are absolutely wonderful, caring, and honestly are here to help. You are in my prayers right now. I just recently stopped a methadone habit/addiction that I was taking for pain, but that is beside the point what I was taking it for------- it still took a toll in the form of addiction and withdrawal. I was in so much pain I would have taken ANYTHING I thought would help. Strangely enough the pain has subsided quite a bit along with the absence of the drug.I won't lie to you and tell you I am pain free, I am not. But the free feeling of not being tethered to a drug vs. the craving for it------------there is just no comparison for me. Keep up the good work!!! I had an experience with the drug you were taking (Vicodin) many years ago and I took it for many years thinking it wasn't very strong etc. trying to justify how many I took! I was totally alone ( I felt at the time) my husband being in away on business for an extended period wit two children to take care of------ so I can just feel what you are going through when I read your post. Hang in there!! Everyone is different as some have said and you may not experience much of a withdrawal and if so hopefully it won't last long. You are in my thoughts and the Best to you in all of this.
I feel ya where the hell is the ****** stuff that's supposed to happen oh I'm afraid it's coming. hey let's make a vow you and me ok because I'm here w/ ya about the same time it's been 36 hrs + now and the worst thing has been a headache and a bit of balance issues and I believe it's only through prayer but in all honesty i do crave it
Im coming of Norco. Even still all I feel is tired. 240 pievery three week habit. I guess I do feel lucky. I'm still counting the hours to days three and four. I hoping for the best. I been taking the aminos so I'm sticking with it.
yay you is all I can say!!!
I'm in WD's 6 hours after my last dose :(
What drug are you coming off of? Most Narcotics DO have w/d symptoms and day # 3 - 6 are usually the worst. However I do have a friend who NEVER gets w/d symptoms and if that is your case, consider yourself verty lucky because they are hell.
broknbck seems to have some good advice ,if it's not broke dont fix it
Thank you so much! They say it is easier not to do this alone. My girl, bestfriend and his wife are behind me. I'm lucky right now I guess. Thanks a lot! Your advice and experience is very calming. I am hoping for the best and hop I can stay off the meds.
Thanks again. I will keep in touch!
well this may be it for you. wouldn't that be great!!
so now just try to get real healthy. the aminos are great for the brain. i still take them.
everyone complains about not enough energy. but isn't that why alot of us were taking them to begin with? lets face it, most of us are just not that healthy weather we are taking drugs or not. it makes all the difference in how much energy you have and how good we can feel. if we are continuously putting garbage in our bodies of course we are not going to feel good, right.
hah- that is not an easy thing these days to eat healthy and all. it is very expensive and time consuming. but it is keeping me to feel my best and i have not had a craving since last dec when i quit.
I tappered really fast. 3 wed morn, 1 wed night, 1 thurs night. I don't feel real bad right now. Like I said a bit tired and still. Little restlessness in my arms last night.
ok, this how i did it.
started at 90 mg day of hydrocodone. (9 1000 pills)
tappered down to half a pill over a months time
first day off i started the aminos l-glutamine, l-methionine, l-theanine
b vits, iron
high protien diet
no white flour, no white sugar, no fats, no caffiene
lots of fresh, raw vegtables and fruits
hah- i never felt so good in my life. the first week off i even felt fabulous. my brain was clear and my thinking
my hands were really shaky for about 6 weeks and there was a little uneasy nervousness for about 3 weeks
a couple of sleepless nites
not bad at all really
Thanks for that. When you took the aminos did you go through ANY withdrawl? I'm just curious what to expect at this point. I almost feel better today than yesterday. I don't get it.
that is good. better to let your body make its own SAMe than to take it.
i think the aminos were why my withdrawl was so smooth.
do you understand how the drug can give you induced pain that is not real? if you have pain soon that may be caused from the pills still and it will go away if you do not feed it drugs. it is just trying to get you to take more drugs.
if you still experience alot of pain, you may want to consider a change of climate.
rainy damp weather
cold, cold weather
humid weather
will all aggrevate any injured parts and or arthitis.
i use to live in the midwest and moved out to phoenix. low humidity and no winter or rain.
it has made a huge difference. no more pain for no reason!!!!!
I was taking norco. The last couple months I been going thru 240 every 3 weeks. But I did tapper a little. What are your thoughts? I'm still very scared. I am also doing the amino acid protocol minus SAMe DSTP, or whatever it is.
what was the last pill you took.the 2nd day of coming off, lets say lortab,is the worst even the third but if your last pill was lets say methodone ,the withdrawal mat not start for a bit longer
so you think it's possible I wont go full on flu symptoms? I really feel strong about not going back. But I am afraid dealing with my knee and back pain drug free.
hey, that is great! but, yes you may still get something in the next few days. but i am sure it will not be that bad if you are feeling this way now.
do not let this fool you either. if it is a piece of cake this time, you can count on it being worse the next- oh that is not a suggestion- just a reminder ok?
