Any kind of a timeline for symptoms

Can anyone give me there own experiences on the withdrawal timeline? At which hours they felt the worst and which hours they felt a little better?

Okay...
You are almost over the hump!  Good for you...Your w/d will peak in the next 24 hours.  HYDRATE.  As IWill mentioned...Dehydration makes detox a heck of a lot harder.  Water, gatorade, herbal teas (sleepy time in awesome for calming the nerves and soothing tummy) Stay away from carbonated drinks and use Immodium.  Eat small amounts of whatever you can to keep your blood sugar up.  I lived off toast and PB, chicken broth, and bananas.
Bananas do wonders for the RLS (potassium)  Hot baths with epsom salts help everything(:
Distract yourself with movies, silly television, music...
Move around as much as you can, get the blood circulating and you will rest easier.
Tell yourself you have a really bad flu and treat yourself gently.  Most of all..Be proud of yourself for taking your life back from the pills...

Keep posting..

Thank you for your ressponse! I am about 51 hours in so a little past day 2. So far I have been doing ok, not great, not horrible but just ok. The first 2 times I have tried this it was awful! I hope it stays somewhat like it has been. I only can take 2 more days off from work if I need it. I think that is what gives me most anxiety is going back to work and not being able to function.

Wantoff:  If I remember correctly your DOC is percocet - right?  Don't think you mentioned how many you were taking but here's my timeline.  I was taking 3-4 hydros per day for years, I tapered down to one pill last Monday afternoon and then stopped.  Monday evening I went to Yoga as always, felt okay.  Tuesday I got up felt exhausted but not awful, about 10:30 Tues morn the diarrhea started, sweats, shakes, ringing ears.  I let myself dehydrate for a day a half which was stupid before I started Immodium.  So for 2 days it was pretty bad for me.  I took lots and lots of showers - baths were too intense for me.  Seriously once you've made it past (at least for ME) 48-72 hours the worst physically is behind you.  I've been up and down all week but as I said I'm on Day 6 soon to be Day 7 and I'm so glad I made the VERY difficult decision to stop this insanity.  I'm going to feel again and I can't wait.  You are sick and tired of being sick and tired or you wouldn't be here.  Stick with us, let's keep each other strong.  There are a lot of terrific people in recovery on here - some only a couple days and some much  much longer.  I'm thankful that I found this forum.  Hang on and stick with us!

My drug of choice was Percocet, probably close to about 100-120mgs a day at the worst of my addiction for about 2 years

Hi There and Welcome...

What drug are you withdrawing from and what is your dosage/length of use?  If you are asking about opiate w/d, the physical is usually 4-7 days with days 3-5 being the most intense, everyone is different. There are many natural and OTC products we can suggest to get you through...
Just need some more information so we can help you..
