It made me feel 'no pain', trust me- but it also wears your body down- performing daily activities was no problem for me while taking full fledged doses of Tramadol, but oh my- when your body starts to ask for more, it's time to give it more or ELSE! So, that's why I'd rather take a couple of weeks out of my life to make my future a hell of alot better! A clean place! lol.. I'm very small, only 99lbs, so it affected me differently- it's like a 12 yr old taking meds!
Anyway, if you didn't feel anything from the Tramadol, than you must have a VERY high tolerance to meds! Tramadol is WAY stronger than a Darvocet- anyday! (In MY opinion, that is) It lasts longer, too. But as with ANY drug- it's not normal, and I can't wait to get BACK to normal! lol.. Today is my second day of being weaned off of Ultram (Tramadol) and I woke up this morning feeling a bit jittery, but I just downed some hot cocoa, and it seems to have subsided- just a few days, one day at a time, I'll be okay! lol
Love to all who are reading this!

Sorry to hear about your mother.. My uncle died form an overdose of pain killers at the age of 32... He was the only relative I loved other than immediete family.. He was everything to me.. I was a wreck.. Now I am abusing the heck out of pills for the past 3 years or so..
As for the tramadol, I would suggest a very very slow taper.. I have seen your other posts about how bad they are and Im glad you postes. My fiancee was prescribed them 50mg 4 times daily for her pain.. I am so glad she hates them and they didnt help anyway.. I tried abusing them in the past and I felt ABSOLUTLY NOTHING! Like darvon's darvocet,, I could take 10 and get no high or buxx or anything! What did it do for you? did it give you a buzz or high?
Hi there! I also want to add to this post- I have been taking 3 Ultram a day (50 mgs each) for 2 years now. I'm slowly tapering off the 'evil' pills, because I've seen alot of posts and horror stories about going 'cold turkey'. Oh my! The agony people had gone through! I guess that slow weaning process is actually less painful, and sometimes not painful at all- my mother passed away from relapsing (was taking Fentanyl patches) and died just one week later! No WAY do I want to end up where she's AT! I was prescribed Ultram back in January of 2005, due to chronic back and leg pain- I regret BIG Time now! Any suggestions on a slow- but not TOO slow weaning process? Thanks in advance!

How much are you taking and for how long? Have you tried to taper? Can you be trusted to taper? Do you need it for pain? Give us some more information and we'll try to suggest some things that may help.
