Day 7, ups downs

Today is day seven of my withdrawal from Vicoden. I have taken most of the last 2 years. My question is this. I have detoxed before and each time is a bit different, but the same. This time I just can't get over how I will feel good for a while then feel like complete ****. I am prone to depression, and although I understand all of this, the depression the feeling like **** because my body can't deal with all of the extra receptors that it has. Does any one care to share thier depressive feelings from withdrawal.

I have so much backed up work. I have the love of my life who has been by my side, but I still want so much to be better because she deserves so much. We have been together for almost 9 months. I am so much in debt, my parents have loaned me $. I felt great this AM, and now I just can't seem to feel OK. I broke down crying after my Girlfriend left for her evening class. I guess I will just be a basket case on and off for the next 7 days or more.....

Don't count out St. John's Wort. I'm taking that and 5-HTP, which I think have helped me A LOT. If you can get rid of your depression, you'll be getting rid of a major trigger that can lead to pill use.

By the way, I'm on day 7 too. Just remember how much willpower it took for you to get this far and that just 1 pill will take you back to day 1. I've been putting this verse in a lot of my posts because it has helped me a lot:

Romans 5:3-5 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us.

Stay strong, it will get better.

If you are not taking anything for depression... you can try an herbal supplement like 5HTP take it with B-compex to help absorbtion.. This supplement can help the serotonin get back up and running again.. This is one of the parts of the brain that gets affected by pill use... Its our "feel good" part of the brain.. It helped me alot.. L-glutamine is also good to help stabilize moods.. I am all about natural ways to combat these symptoms so if you need anything just ask..

XOXO

I hear ya I have my ups and downs also. Like an emotional roller coaster. It's like a depression I guess but we will be fine. Push through the bad and the good times will definately make up for it. It is just starting to get better for me on day 20. Good luck.
