I am going to NA at 12 again today. I know so many people have told me to stop looking on the internet about what all can happen to me but I cant. I just wish that if what I did was going to come bite me in the butt it would do it already. Atleast then I wouldnt be walking around in fear. Still have not had a pill since Thursday, and I am not as shaky as I have been which is good. I was so tired that I forgot to pray last night and I think that is why I woke up in a panic.

All they said was that up front there is NA reading material for sale.

Do they mean they suggested you purchase The Basic Text? If so, yes that is normal. Years ago they used to pass them out but as NA grew it became quite an expense to give them away. You can get one for 5 or 6 bucks on the NA site or on Amazon. The reading materials used at the meetings can be downloaded from the NA site.

Everything is a suggestion. You don't have to do anything but it's highly recommended to get a sponsor and start working the steps. I have been going for almost 6 months. You can private message me if you want and ask me anything.

They said at the NA meeting today that you have to buy the NA reading material. Is that normal?

Your right I will panic for 5 years. Lol. This is nuts. It is my fault that I keep freaking out because I turned into a person I never thought I would be. About the withdrawals I would never recommend this way Lmao if you want to scare yourself go sleep in a cemetery don't commit felony fraud.

I think you haven't experienced any severe  wd's because you scared them all from showing their face by making them believe you are under imminent attack by the swat team or somethig.  This is going to be the new detox plan...scaredmommy Recipe!  Well at least you aren't going to be doing anything like that again. Nor can I imagine you buying pills on the street.  so you are safe there. We've exchanged alot of messages and I keep trying to tell you that that situation isn't is only growing insidwnof you. Are you going to wait a year till u feel safe or if you read another article on google that says it can be up to 5 years then what? Don't get overcome by this. I am trying to make light of it to show you that it's really nothing as bad as you r making it out to be. Your recovery is what you should be concentrating on the most! ;)

The next right thing is to not take a pill and to get dressed and go to NA. ( I am still stressed though, you know it can take up to a year for them to catch me??? STUPID GOOGLE!!!)

You're going to be ok.  Just do what's right in front of you. What's the next right thing? You're doing great, you're clean today. I know it's hard, but try and focus on right now instead of what may or may not happen in the future.
