cravings

I'm on day 16 and although feeling a little better than say day 3 which was pure hell..I'm just wondering do the cravings ever stop.  I find them getting stronger every day.  I have NO intention of giving in but please tell me the cravings will stop!!  Still no sleep and very restless but I finally had my pill dream.  yep dreamed I had one norco and took it and was so happy.  How do you get the wanting out of you?

Are you really 26 and 8 years off heroin?  That can't be...

This will go away I promise...  I am even in legitimate pain and I rarely have a craving...  16 days is great but in the grande scheme of things is a small amount of your life.. You need time to heal.. Your brain is still craving the drug.. This will take time to get back to normal..
Give yourself time.. You are gonna make it.. I have the occasional drug dream from time to time.. I am 54 days off of pills and almost 8 years off of heroin.. I still dream about heroin once in a blue moon..

I think that's part of the problem, I have ligitimate pain daily and when it gets bad I just know I need a norco I know just one would help so I go through the day just craving that one pill.

Thanks for the encouragement.  Yours and others words of encouragement is what has gotten me to day 16!!!  Thanks again and congrats big time on 54 days!!!
