Cold Turkey Today !!!

Okay guy's this is day 1 without Tramadol. I was able to taper to about 6 a day and then lastnight I did 13 so I would have none left this morning and I'm hating this ****.... The cold sweats have been off and on and unbearable at times. I have a freind calling me wanting me to look at his laptop before he goes to IRAQ tomorrow but theres just no way I cvan have him come here with me like this. I was wiching I had got another bottle of 100 to continue my taper with.. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA, I mean continue my ADDICTION with is more like it !!  It amazing how your mind can be so stupid when your an addict. I am going through with it this time it's just that I am entering the part of HELL that make me not want to quit. Guys be praying for me that I don't have a seizure and that I am able to stop sweating in a few days. I know tonight I will soak the bed but praise the lord that I'm getting this poison out of my system. I called my friend and told him to bring the laptop pray I do alright in front of him. Anyway I will keep everyone informed and I will definantely post tomorrow to let you know how I am doing. I thought about how many I had done and I am coming off of 600 50 MG Tramadol's in a little over 2 months. Thats just INSANE.

HI... I am new too... 1st day cold turkey..coming off Lorcet..I only took one yesterday... so last night was a *****!.. been taking them about  a year.... for a pinched nerve in my neck..at least that is what I started taking them for.. anyway...back to you.... if you do not have to go to work... then get in the TUB !!!!!! I stayed in the tub last night... did not sleep at all... am at work right now...in bewtween clients... so had a few mins. to get on.. I have been reading for a couple of weeks because I knew I wanted to stop.... so this is actually my first post..... Having a pretty ****** time right now... but I am going to do it this time... I finally admitted to my husband about a month ago.... so he has been a huge support esp. coming from someone who will not even take a tylenol when his head hurts.... I cried this morning.... but have had to pull it together today for work.... But can not wait to get back in the tub this afternoon.....How are you doing today? Hang in there... I will pray for you..... we can do this together!...  Wishing you all the best.....

Wishing you the best! How are you doing today?? I'll be thinking of you!  btw, its funny, alot of people think Tramadol isnt even an addictive drug. I read somewhere that the DEA is considering changing its status to a controled substance soon. It is actually a synthetic OPIOID from what I read about it. It just has other characteristics about it that generally make it not thought of as a "real drug".  You know better, huh? Hang in there my friend!

Man it sound to me like you have it licked. I can not even imagine working. To make matters worse I'm between jobs. I was going to get in the tub this afternoon but was afraid it would just make me sweat. I've just never done this much before. I would usually do 50 and stop and it was hell. This night lastnight can not be even described. Just could not get comfortable. Waking up laying in a puddle of sweat and having to just change position and back to bed in the wet. I remember the withdrawls from VIDCODIN in 2000 and it was not even as bad as this of course it was not walk in the park either. I'm glad you were able to work and not lose your job. Man cutting down a tree on this rebound.... oh #*$&# NO ! Theres just no way. Maybe it's because of I'm thinking of doing that today I can not even imagine. Day 6 is good though. I usually would detox on these in abuout 3 days with 2 being the worse however It may last  a little longet this round. Oh well.. thanks for the reply. Back to the bed.

Hang in there, I had to laugh at your first line of a living hell. Not at you, but I am on day 5 and I can relate. I have been drinking a phenomenal GNC Calorie, Protien, Mulitvitamin, and every BCAA and all the regular amino acids and I think that has helped me. Plus I work everyday, and it is physical. For some reason I have no problem, doing all the work and walking, but am still tired as a SOB. I have to cut down a big tree this afternoon, and that is going to wear me out. Each night when I get home, its TUB, TUB, TUB, Youre just right behind me, and Im right behind someone else, etc, etc. It is a WD chain,

Oh my god lastnight was a living hell !!!! I told my wife lastnight after she came to bed. She was upset but just prayed for me. She asked where I got the money and I told her we would talk about that later. I did not have anything to help me sleep but woke up a dozen times but was always able to get right back to sleep. I slept with a towel and extra blankets and sweat an unbelievable amount.
I tried to drink water but it was like it would just run through my pores and make me cold so I quit.
I'm drinking some this morning it's 9:09am and I took a aleve for a real bad headache. Also my lower back is hurting me really bad by my spine. I can't seem to get rid of it now. ToManyToCount how many days and nights did your sweats last? Avis thanks for your comments and everyone else who commented. I appreciate the support. I need to cover up I'm freezing.

I don't know anything about tramadol , but i sure will be praying for you...

Hey M;

You're on your way.  The sweats will be gone in a couple of days and you'll be left with the sneezing.  I'm on the back end of day 22 and I only sneezed twice day - what a big difference.  I went CT from 30-35 pills per day and so the time line I am giving is based on that info.  If you have any other ?? let me know, I'll be glad to share whatever info I can.

Good for you ,,,i know your going threw hell right now ,,,, the next week will be rough but you can get threw this .. You tapered down to 6 so you should not have as much to worry about with the sezuires...
  Did you tell your  wife, I know you were going back and forth as to wether you should or not.
do you have anything to help you sleep? plz let me know how you are doing ...
