Hi  well 40 is a bit high to jump from  but we have members that have jumped form 120 and made it  the phyical withdrawal last 10 days to 2 weeks form this drug  it is not so much the severity of the withdrawal that makes methadone harder  it is the long recovery time  for me it was the sleepless nights and then the ''energy crash'' that made it especially hard you just have to take it day by day   methadone withdrawals comes in waves  it is also very cyclic  just when you think you beet it it comes back with a vengeance  just know it is possible to recover we have a lot of members who have  keep posting for support we all want to see you make it....Gnarly

The hot baths, walking, wrapping your legs with ace bandages, eating bananas all help with the rls.
We are here to enoourage you and support you.  Has your friend been visiting and checking  on you?
You can and will get through this.
Tapering down definitely helped your detox.
How long did you take to taper from 70 to 40?

Moving and keeping yourself busy will help. Stay hydrated.
Take hot Epsom salt baths, drink protein shakes. Take Imodium.
Congrats on breaking free. Take each day as it comes.
It will take a few weeks to get through the initial detox.
Keep a positive attitude.
How are you feeling?

Hi honey:  i've never taken methadone (my DOC was oxy)....but one of my best friend's daughter just came off it.    Not gonna lie to you; it was brutal.  I don't know the dosage she was on, but I do remember (this was about 3 months ago) that she didn't get the full effects until days 7-14 and then it gradually got better day by day after that.

Are you in a program of any kind?    Congrats for getting off methadone.   I know it saves lives, but its still a nasty drug.

Hello and welcome. What mg were you on for 6 years?
Did you taper down before you stopped four days ago?
