BTW--I do appreciate the support. Im not trying to be defensive or in denial........I absolutely understand you. Im just really concerned with my Leg pain. As I said thoubh, the Valium and Ibuprophem seems to be helping a lot at the moment.
Thank you
I just took about 20mg of Valiium and 1000mg Motrin and finaly getting some relief. I get ur meaning about a Pill is a Pill
The short version of my story is I started taking Vics and Percs for Chronic Back ache (as does the world) but after a couple days does nothing - So to get more than 2 hrs of sleep a night I begged for a stronger med..Well Methadone became my buddy, too good of one.
Im actually over it now but my concern was the leg pain - Im a Cardiovascular Technologist and How can I assist a Pacemaker implant if I cant stand, ya know?
A pill is a pill is a pill is a pill. I can't see this ending well for you.
If you hang in there just a little longer, it will be over as I said.
The restless legs Im fine with, I have Diazepam for that. Its my Calf Muscles Hurting Terribly bad. Seems like no matter what I do theyre killing me.
Wadda think - its been a bit over a week now with the leg pain, and tonight was my worst night and most painful where it was a chore to even walk. Ive emailed my Dr about it but havnt gotten a response--sounds bad but im hoping for some sort of Pain Killer.
I have no issues with Hydrocodone or Perc-s, but Im wondering if he would feel suspicous if I requested such a med??? Damn, I hate having the label of Opiate Dependant....
Hi & Welcome,
RLS, as it is called is very common during the physical withdrawal phase. There is a product that some have had success with called "Hylands Restless Leg". It is all natural so no worries there.
Some things that worked for me were hot soaks in the tub and applying heat to my calves (I used a heating pad). Also, I assume it gets worse when you lay down. If you can, try to lay back in a lounge chair instead of laying flat.
You should be almost through this so please hang in there. It does get better. And stick around and get support from the members here.
