Can cymbalta help me stop opioids addiction?

Hello, I'm a former Marine who had lower back and hip surgery. I was given morphine and Percocet for pain management but ones I got discharged from the service and went to the VA for treatment they took the percs away because they are "addictive" (They sure didn't say that when I had to be in line at 0 dark 30) Anyways I was already addicted to opioids. Ones I ran out of doctors willing to prescribe them, from there I went to heroin . I have tried methadone, subuxone and other meds to kick the addition but I keep coming back to it because it's the only thing that takes my pain away and gives me energy. I truly feel horrible without it and can not accomplish anything.
I've read that cymbalta have helped others like me. I know that it is also addictive but I rather take a pill than shoot up. I'm looking for advice. I appreciate any help in advance.

First and foremost, thank you for your service to our country. I'm so sorry that it led you to injury and addiction.  Welcome back home.  The trend here now is not prescribing opiates due to the epidemic of opiate  addiction. Many legit patients are left hanging in the breeze of w/d and pain. Many go the route that you have gone, and many die. Now I know that you didn't survive war to come back here and die anyway, right?
So how long have you been on heroin? Antidepressants like cymbalta can be a very useful tool when quitting opiates.  Can the VA get you a pyschiatrist to prescibe one? Talking to some one about everything you've been through may help you fight your way out of this tragic situation. Do they have a rehab at the VA? Maybe instead of trying to replace the H with sub or dones, you could detox completely with medical assistance and start over from a place of sobriety.  They say the physical w/d is over in a week or so. It's a long road, but you can do it. Be honest with your doctors. Maybe it will help them realize what they are doing to people.
