Chills

Well I never think i could do it, but i did. Tomorrow will be 21 days clean. And i will say that i couldnt have done it without NA and this website. All of you were such an inspiration. There is no words i can say to show how thankful i am. Using since i was 14 and now 19. I feel like i will have a good life and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I go back to college on the 21st for my masters in business administration. I cant wait, other things actually make me happy again besides drugs. One question I have is, I still have very bad dirreah and immodium does nothing for me. I also still get the chills? how much longer will this last? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

This is a real issue and could be serious. Man, just play it safe and go get checked tomorrow. This issue is a real as anything else. If you're that scared, most blood labs at hospitals are opened 24 hours. You could go and get things checked out now. If anything it will give you peace of mind. Let us know how things go. Best of luck.

Thank you for the responses, i am a little scared now, but what can you do, its the price you pay for "using" for so long and the amount. I can tell you one thing, this makes me never want to touch another pill again, i wouldnt plan on it anyways, but i am scared, sorry about this post, we should focus on the people who have real issues to deal with. Thank you though

With the dose you were taking get a liver function test for sure. I'm sure others can recommend other tests that you should have also just like Faithful said. Just wondering, do you plan on going in to the Marine Corps as a officer? If you already have a bachelor degree I would recommend it. You'll make have a better way of life and get paid quite a bit more than enlisted. If I was to do it over I probably would have went to college before enlisting and went in as a officer. If you have any questions about it or anything else, send me a pm. We don't want to flood the boards about it and take attention away from the main purpose of this forum. Like Faithful said, go and get everything checked out!

Just to let you know... symptoms of Colitis include... chills, uncontrolled diarrhea, horrible stomach pain. Sounds like you describe it pretty well...GET CHECKED! Since I have been diagnosed with this I have met sooooo many others that have and it is usually because of drug abuse.

I have been diagnosed with Colits. In case you do not know what this is it is severe inflammation of the colon. I will always have bouts with this on and off. At one point a couple of years ago during a horrible onset, they were seriously considering removing a portion of my colon and inserting a colostomy for a while. I am soooo blessed that God has kept me from having to have this done and I pretty much have this under control. BUT, my reason for telling you is that every single time that i had a prescription of hydro's filled they warned me of the potential risk of the medicine causing colitis (they didn't even know I already had it). Neither did I tell them for fear they wouldn't even give it to me... You were taking a seriously large dose of acetaminaphin per day... and hydrocodone... I strongly urge you to go get checked. Once your colon perforates your in BIG trouble... I am not I repeat NOT trying to scare you, but CARE for you!

Thank you guys, it makes me want to stay clean the rest of my life just hearing you guys say those words. I was taking around 45-50 10/325 hydrocodone a day for about 3 years, so i think i might have screwed something up in my stomach with all the tylenol. The doctor gave me protonix to see if it helps with my stomach, because i have severe severe stomach pains since i stopped using. And im bleeding when i go to the bathroom #2, sorry to be gross. So im hoping i didnt do any long term damage. I dont have the flu because im eating properly again and exercising fine. Any ideas? and yes i joined the marine corps when i turned 18, but i was already using, i started when i was 16, so needless to say i knew i couldnt start the basic training with w/d's, but i am for sure going back when i get over this. I cant wait, i've been wanting to join the fight since i was a little kid and hopefully i can finally do it. Thanks for the posts

Are you sure you don't have the touch of the flu or anything. The diarrea went away after a week or so but the chills took about 2 weeks. Everyone is different though. I'm sure others can give a better answer than me. Congrats on being 21 days clean. That is awesome! By the way, were you or someone you know in the Marine Corps? Just wondering by your nickname on here. I got out about 3 years ago.
