Clonazepam

Today is 28 off lortabs. Still feel like I hit a wall 4 days ago and lost my momentum. Doc gave me clonazepam. I think it's the same as klonopin? Not familiar with this medication. What does anyone know about it?

They were given to me for anxiety instead of Ativan. I threw them away today after everyone's advice. Not going there!

yes its a benzo and therefore addictive, dont take it for longer than a week to 10 days, and try not to take it every day , youve done so well with the lortabs, best to be careful, best wishes,

Hi there. I'm new to the forum, but yes, it's the same drug...did the doctor give it to you for anxiety? Sleep? I know that myself, never liked xanax or any of those drugs, but I do know other opiate addicts that have become addicted to those after kicking the opiate problem. And they are definitely dangerous to withdraw from. Depending on what it was prescribed for, it is definitely better to use very short term. Hope this helps.

Hi there,

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine used for anxiety.  This drug can be a *itch to withdraw from.  Much worse than opiates in my opinion.  If it were me I would steer far away from this and try yoga or exercise for the depression and anxiety.

If you do take this drug most ppl say no more than a week at most.

Again I would encourage other options.

Congratulations on your clean time!
