withdrawal symptoms

My question is going to sound dumb bc there are a lot of ppl here dealing with serious addiction issues, but here it goes. I am a binge drinker on the weekends, and i occasionally get drunk once or twice during the week as well. I have never had any issues until recently. last wednesday through saturday, i drank heavily (10-15 drinks) on each night. Sunday night, as i was lying in bed, i was annoyed bc i could not sleep. everytime i almost fell asleep, i was jolted awake, by nothing at all, it seemed.i tossed and turned all night, never really getting any rest. The next day i had mild diarrhea, and a general feeling of sickness. I also broke out into a sweat at a random point in the day. I went out monday night and had a few drinks and all was fine, no sleeping issues etc. yesterday i wasnt feeling good either. still had diarrhea, and general feeling of sickness, with very little appetite. At bedtime, i could not sleep at all. I would lie down for a while and begin to sweat from my forehead, which was very cool to the touch but very sweaty. As i am writing this i have a mild headache and no apetite. I really havent eaten much at all. Does any of this sound as if it is addiction ? or does it sound like an illness of some sort ? any ideas on how i might correct this ?

Welcome and remember their is no such thing as a dumb question.
The best thing you can do right now, is begin arming yourself with information. There are many, many great resources on the web about addiction, and even give you questions to ask yourself about your lifestyle and whether you should seek professional help.

You should see your doctor right away regarding the physical symptoms you are having. It could be something, and it could be nothing. But better safe than sorry at this point.

I do not know a whole lot about alcohol addiction. Some others might be able to share some more info.

But please, with the physical symptoms you have described, please see a doctor.

Keep posting.

First off - thats not a dumb question....and any addiction issue is a serious thing - even our legal and good friend alcohol. How is your nutrition when you have an appetite? If you arent eating well you really need to watch the nutrition that you do get. And use vitamins and supplements. Most of us are deficient in some manner by the time we get to this forum. In addittion to amping up the nutrients - I would have my Doc run labs for liver enzymes.....actually, CBC that includes thyroid (TSH) would be a good place to start. There are many things that could make you feel the way you do...I am a liver patient, mostly due to my years of abuse, so that always comes to my mind. But your complaints are general enough that several things could apply. While you are establishing your plan, eat properly, lay off the liquor, and get plenty of rest...PM me if you wish to have further ideas from my side....
