My legs are doing better, I am eating anything with tons of potassium in it..Did some housework and went on the elliptical for a few min..I am leaving my cool house to the hot hot hot and hot hot car to go to the store and walk around...I think walking is about the best..Move move..I can't wait to be in Vienna at Christmas and not even thinking of these stupid pills...That is my long term goal for now...It keeps me going because I want to enjoy every minute of it..Later..Hugs
You have a great attitude! This certainly will pass. Until it does, there are a few things you can try to help with the leg cramping. Increase your potassium intake. Potatoes with the skin on, bananas, kiwi fruit, and tomatoes all are high in potassium. Be sure you are properly hydrated. Lots of water, juice, or gatorade. Try to stay away from the caffeinated drinks. Hot baths with epsom salts can really ease the cramps and RLS. There is a natural product called Hyland's Restful Legs that helps. It's located with the vitamins and supplements at Walmart or Walgreen's. A trick that always helps me when all else fails is to put either Icy Hot or Vick's Vaporub on my legs and then wrap them snugly in ace bandages. The menthol soothes the aches and cramps and the pressure helps with the creepy, crawly, spasm feeling. I hope that you can find some relief and that this passes soon. Good luck to you!
