Day 23 no methadone

Well today makes 23 days. I was finally able to fall asleep last night with just a over the counter night time sleep aid. It felt great to be able to go to sleep so easy. Still having some headaches but nothing to bad at the moment. Getting excited about each day that passes. Ready for the weekend gots lots going on. Feels good to be able to spend time with my friends again. Ready for Saturday getting another tat thanks to a really good friend of mine. Its some thing I have wanted a long time and finally able to get it.

Hey Jenn......im so happy for you your recovery has been an ez one this stuff can really  drag you threw some misery sleep so early on is huge it will help everything else ....irs good to see your getting out and going on with your life the headaches will pass I got them mine lasted about 3 weeks every day at about 3 pm ...count your blessings and thank God he spaired you an awful withdrawal....keep posting to let us know how it goes.....adtercare can be free id you choose N/A or A/A and it works it you work it....I alwats say try it 3 times if it dont work out then move on but I think N/A is a great program this months marks 6yr for me from alcohol weed
and everything else recreational....I was treating back pain with the methadone and still had a few more yrs of living in denile b/4 I woke up and got off that give the4 meetings a chance you can google N/A meeting in your area and they dont cost any thing good luck and God bless......Gnarly

yeah I thought about that to as for my wrist but honestly no bigger then my wrist is and the tat will be a big bandaide should cover it if I have to. For me I think it will help me with getting thru. The life part of it represents life without drugs and the death will represent what happens if I go back to the drugs. I know its just words but it means so much more to me. As for the aftercare I checked into a place locally and they want me to pay 127 every visit and said I would need at least 2 visits a month. Thats just not a option at this point. I talk to my husband about everything I know hes not a counsler but he knows some what of where I am coming from he has been addicted to meth and a few other things before we got together. He is my rock at this point I couldnt have asked for a better man in my life.

hey jen so glad to hear you are doing so great. have you started aftercare. the sleeping thing is huge, good for you. keep on keeping on. about the tat on the wrist my daughter has one on the inside of her forearm and just got a job now she has long sleeves but the employer told her she will have to wear an ace bandage on it in the warm weather. she works at a country club and yea i suppose she will get very sweaty. well.

Just an FYI about the wrist tat.....Many employers are now frowning on this and want all tats covered.  Gets real hot with long sleeves in the summer!

thanks...yeah the one on my ankle was pretty bad. I asked the guy that was doing it which would hurt more my ankle or side of my calf and he said ankle bc it was all bone. The one on my ankle has flames going up some of my leg and the farther up he went the less I felt there was some of it I had to look at him and say are you even doing anything lol. I am really excited. The last one I want is going to be on the inside of my wrist and it will say death one way and life the other. It will be to represent my drug usage.

Congrats on 23 days!!  You really sound good~~Keep it going.  

I have a tat on my calf and it wasnt too painful.  The one on my hip was brutal!!  Wont be doing that again!!

Getting a angel on the right side of my right leg with my kids names in it ...he said it would take 2 or 3 sittings to get it all done its gonna be huge if I have my way with it....I want to be so big that when I have shorts on people will walk up and say wow that must have hurt lol..but I have been told it will be less painfull then the last one I got b/c it was on my ankle and that hurt lol
