Day 4 of suboxone

Well this is day 4 of my suboxone treatment and I went to the dr. yesterday.  The headaches have subsided. Anyways the doctor suggested that I may have had anxiety attacks all along and they were covered by my true love... Mr. Percocet. But I think it has something to do withdrawals. The doc doesn't know if I'm on to high of a dose or too llittle, but didn't really have an answer. It also makes me very sleepy. Well, he put me on clonazepam and changed my anti-depressant. The suboxone is so terrible that it makes me want to throw up. The doc suggested putting a jolly rancher in my mouth while I wait for the meds to dissolve, that really doesnt work either. What does everyone do with the grainy or powdery orange ****. Do I spit it out or let it sit in there? Does the suboxone work for everyone?  Is it really bad to wean off of? I'm scared to live without my perc's, Everything is so different now, I'm more aware of things, sounds, smells, taste, I even have emotions now! Any advice for the morning for extreme tiredness due to the meds I'm on. My percs used to give me my energy, and now I can barely stay awake. This *****, no wonder people relapse.  anyways any advice you want to give me, I will happily consider it.

I heard to spit it out as well. I cut into quarters to make them disolve faster, but HOW is it possible to keep a mouth full of saliva mixed with the drug under the tongue for 15 minutes, Also said was do not drin or eat for 15 minutes after taking them. The naloxone cause huge amounts of side effects while subutex only cause a few. I am now at 12 mg. It has almost been 2 weeks, 1st week being hell, but maybe cause i switched from methadone! Being on the program for 10 years, I will tell you if i knew the....I would just take a couple weeks, or a month tops to get off the physical effects of percs, because I went off methadone for 2 YEARS straight and had to go back on because i still after all that time didn't feel right! Subs may be better but no different! So 2 months or 2 years??????

Dont spit it out, thats the medication that still needs to be absorbed under your tongue. Stick with it, and try to get yourself down to a lower dose and that will help with the headaches. You have to realize that Sub is the means to an end of using opiates, say bye bye to the perc's, you must have started sub for a reason so keep it up. You have to sit their and let it all dissolve, and the remainder mixed in with saliva just hold it under your tongue for as long as possible so your getting everyting out of it. If you sit up and lean your head forward for 10-15min you can avoid some of the taste, although I never found it to be to bad, never something that would make me even think about quitting it just because I dont like the taste. I believe within the next couple weeks you will lose the urge to go back to the perc's, the cravings should stop. The most important thing is it sounds like you may not be fully committed to getting of opiates, I mean if just a bad taste is enough for you to re-think your decsion thats not a good sign, try to be positive, the suboxone(buprenorphine)is much stonger than your perc's were, the only difference is that bupe is only a partial agonist of your opiate receptors. Try to get to lowest possible dose that remains effective and then begin to taper down as fast as your body will allow you to. The addiciton is so much mental, your mindset needs to be that your doing this for the purpose of beating your opiate addiciton. Everyone is scared when first starting because it is something new your trying. My advice would be to just hang in there and give it a chance, its only been 4 days, wait 2 weeks and see how you feel. You shouldnt at that point miss the oxycodone, you have to want to be off of them and all that opiate addiction entails. All the constant worry of how many pills you got, running out early, having to find them, dealing with shady people and mainly just the stress from the daily grind of being an opiate addict. Keep posting so you can get as much info as possible, and you will recieve alot of support from the compassionate people here. Try to keep a positive attitude and best of luck in your recovery.

You can't spit it out...NOOO...it won't work if you spit it out. What I used to do was drink my coffee with it. I would take a sip of coffee everytime I had to swallow the sub residue. It worked well for me that way. I hated the taste of sub. Good luck..

Oh and the headaches could be from too much sub. Usually that is a sign that your dose is too high..
