Day 5, Yes!

Day 5, Yes!

Another sleepless night but I'll take the insomia over the first 4 days and what I went through through anytime!.  This will be the last time I experience WD's.  Nothing but moving forward for me now. I am going to heed the advice of those of you who have helped me get through a very difficult time.  My mission is to try and get back everything that this drug took away from me, my family, my freedom, my money etc. Although my emotions are running wild I am in a good place right now, it's 4 am and I'm not sleeping and I dont care.  I had a good day overall today. I ate a bit I slept a bit and more importantly, I saw my kids for a bit!  I even enjoyed seeing my ex today.  Our relationship has been rocky lately, she was pretty reluctant to trust that this is behind me and she could've been more supportive but I dont care, it was nice to see her as well.  She deserves to be upset and I am going to prove to her that this is it!  I'm determined to earn her trust back.

I want to thank each of you for being here with me along this rough ride.  I could not have done it without the support of so many of you, you guys know who you are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  In earlier posts I mentioned how alone I was because I was detoxing all by myself, only now that I can think more clrearly I realize I was not alone.  I had this forum and the wonderful people in it. You guys are truly united in the same fight to overcome peoples addiction and show them there is life without substances.  The people here care so much to take time out of their days and come to the site to help those of us in need.  You all deserve a lot of credit.  Thank you all again and god bless each and every one of you.....K.J.

K.J.  Reading your post was so heartwarming.  It sounds like you have the determination to kick this things ***!!!!  Brother, I sent you a message and I meant everything I said.  Good luck buddy and you were right to put your family first on the list of things you want to get back.  The hockey game was huge for you.  You made the decision to get up and out of the house.  Pat yourself on the back for that one brother, if not you would have missed the 2 goals your boy scored, you're my hero :)  AND, you took the first step to actually rebuilding what was taken away by this addiction....YOUR FAMILY.  Keep it up my brother and YOU will score the double overtime game winner....Dave

Congrats on your clean time!!   Sleep and energy is usually the last thing to come back.  The more you get up and do things the quicker you get those natural endorphins working again.  They got real lazy always being doped up.  Make you the No1 priority and do whatever it takes to stay clean and really live life.  Your clean time should be the most sacred thing you have~~sara

Wow, I just had a little nap and I a mean a LITTLE nap (LOL) but it felt good and I'll take it anytime.  I'm officially into day 6 (if I'm counting hrs) Yay for me! Thanks for the words sara, I am going to take them to heart.  This time it's going to be different.  I've been on the forum quite a bit today and I love how it's keeping me occupied and focused.  I am so grateful I found this site while surfing the internet, the support and people here are so amazing and it will never be forgotten by me.  Thanks to all of you again....K.J.
